To celebrate the British & Irish Lions Tour this year, we are offering special deals on Noosa Accommodation for British Lions Supporters during June, July and August 2013.
Stay 5 nights and you’ll only pay $99 per night (Usually $130) : I just checked the currency rates and that equates to around 63 pence per night! Oh ok, maybe it’s actually £63 per night, but that’s still excellent value for money. Each 2 bedroom apartment can sleep up to 4 adults at that rate; which works out to be only about $25 each. Includes Free WiFi Internet, and all Fox Sports channels, plus ESPN.
Wolngarin is managed by Jim & Tracy Blayney. Ex-pat Jim grew up in Harrogate, North Yorkshire and came to Noosa for 2 nights, however 16 years later he’s still here. Jim lives with wife Tracy, children Jameson and Keegan, and a yellow lab called Fij.
Wolngarin provides clean, comfortable and affordable accommodation, with friendly service. Centrally located, only a 5 minute walk to the Noosa River, and 5 minute drive to the Hastings Street and beach. We also offer free WiFi internet to all guests.
Wolngarin Holiday Resort is also only 10mins drive to the Noosa Dolphins Rugby ground which is hosting the Lions during their Recovery & Training Week (from 30th June to 4th July) prior to the third and final test on 6th July in Sydney. Fans will get a chance to watch the Lions train at the Noosa Dolphins Ground on 3rd and 4th July, whilst enjoying all the Noosa region has to offer.
The special rate for accommodation is also valid during the beginning of June when the Lions play the Queensland Reds at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on 8th June.
Whilst here, take the opportunity to visit World Heritage Listed Fraser Island, Steve Irwins’ Australia Zoo, learn to surf with a former World Champion or just take time out from touring and laze around on the beach or go koala and whale spotting in the Noosa National Park.
We’ll look forward to hearing from you, Jim & Tracy
***UPDATE*** : I had all but given up hope of getting tickets for the 1st Test in Brisbane, but thanks to the wonders of the internet and social media managed to nab tickets for myself and a mate who is coming from Singapore. It’ll be the first time we’ve seen each other in 10 years. They’re not the best seats in the house, but at least they’re in the same postcode, and it has a bar! If you’re going to the game and you bump into a drunken mute; that’ll be me! ;-)
That’s me at the first test in Brisbane, with my mate and his family who flew all the way from Singapore to come to the game. What a cracking game it was, feel a tad sorry for Kurtley Beale!
In case you were wondering, yes that’s me, a Yorkshireman supporting the Aussies. I must confess that I “turned to the darkside” back in 2005 and have been supporting Australia ever since!
We still have some vacancies during the Lions Week in Noosa from 30th June to 4th July.
There’s a giant 9mtr x 9mtr British and Irish Lions Jersey coming to Noosa on Tuesday 2nd July, come see it on Noosa Main Beach. The weather is much warmer up here than Sydney or Melbourne!
