There are so many wonderful places to visit in Noosa, or within an easy drive. The following are a selection of our favourites.

Eumundi Markets

Eumundi Markets

At the Eumundi Markets, up to 500 stall holders display a huge variety of both locally designed and made items, imported goods, locally grown fresh produce, an adverse array of speciality foodstalls and live music performed by Sunshine Coast artists in a vibrant and enchanting atmosphere. The markets take place every Wednesday and Saturday morning. Free Entry and only a short 25 minute drive or bus ride.

Noosa National Park

Noosa National Park

Noosa National Park is only a short walk along the boardwalk around the bay from Noosa Main Beach & Hastings Street. The Park is so easily accessed via the well maintained tracks and kept in such good condition that it is Australias' most visited National Park. The coastal track via Tea Tree, Granite, and Alexandria Bays is a stunning walk that can easily be completed in 2 ½ hours. A beautiful way to spend ½ a day.

Hinterland Villages

Hinterland Villages

The Hinterland villages of Montville and Maleny are full of “olde worlde” charm and tranquility. Set 430m above sea level in the Blackall Ranges of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland provides visitors with glorious views back down to the coast. Excellent shopping, chic cafes and tea rooms, fine dining restaurants, art galleries and antique shops make up this exciting and beautiful area. Nature lovers should head to Kondalilla Falls and also to the Mary Cairncross Park for spectacular panoramic views across the Glasshouse Mountains.

Lake McDonald Botanic Gardens

Lake McDonald Botanical Gardens

Lake McDonald Botanical Gardens are located just outside Cooroy, approx 20 minutes drive from Noosa. A popular location for weddings, the gardens cover 9 hectares along the shores of Lake McDonald; a great place for a picnic. The gardens include many native plant species, and an abundance of birdlife. On the way there stop off at Mount Tinbeerwah and drive up to the lookout at the top of the mountain (only a 10 minute easy walk from the carpark.) 360 degree views across the entire Noosa area, Cooloola National Park, Noosa North Shore, and even as far as Fraser Island on a clear day.

Australia Zoo

Australia Zoo

Australia Zoo was the home of Steve Irwin the World Famous crocodile hunter and is approx 50 minutes drive from Noosa. The Zoo offers visitors wildlife action and entertainment beyond any other, priding itself on promoting hands on interactive experiences with pythons, koalas, kangaroos, wombats, tigers, elephants and many more intriguing and awesome animals. The wildlife action is endless with 14 LIVE wildlife shows daily. Set on over 70 acres of Australian bush land with more than 1000 animals, Australia Zoo into your ultimate destination. CRIKEY!

Underwater World

Underwater World

Underwater World is the largest oceanarium in the Southern Hemisphere. It is located at The Wharf, Mooloolaba, approx 40 minutes drive from Noosa and has almost 20,000 sea creatures, an 80 metre walk through tunnel. Thrillseekers can also dive with the sharks or swim with the seals!.

The Noosa River has numerous Boat Hire companies along its banks, only 8 minutes walk from Wolngarin. A boating licence or experience are not needed. Hiring a boat on the river is such a fun and affordable thing to do; you can explore the sandbanks, cruise down to the lakes or just cruise around the waterfront homes. The boat hire companies provide fishing rods and bait so you can catch your dinner. If you are bringing your own boat, the closest boat ramp to Wolngarin is approx 500m away. Laguna Bay provides a protected environment for fishing however crossing the Bar should only be done by those with experience. The bar is very shallow and best crossed at high tide in gentle surf. Noosa Coastguard monitor all bar crossings with a camera. You should contact the Coastguard prior to attempting a crossing.
