Things to Do in Noosa When it Rains

  • Noosa 10 Pin Bowling Alley in Noosaville is air-conditioned and non-smoking. They have 18 lanes including 10 of the latest automatic bumper systems designed especially for kids. The fully licensed Alley Cats Cafe and Bar serves a full range of foods from hot chips, to burgers, hotdogs, fish n chips, and fresh pizzas.   • SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Aquarium is located in Mooloolaba, approx 45 mins drive South of Noosa. Open each day 9am to 5pm except Christmas Day.   • The Majestic Theatre at Pomona is a 25 minute drive from Noosa. Enjoy silent films with pipe organ accompaniment at the historic Majestic Theatre.   • Come and see Reception; we have a selection of board games, packs of cards, and whole heap of books, and a good range of DVDs that you may borrow. We also have complimentary postcards so why not grab one and write  postcard home; everyone loves receiving mail.
  • Check out the 2nd hand bookshop in Noosa Junction for a fantastic range of second hand books.

  • Go Surfing; let’s face it, you’re gonna get wet either way! Surf lessons take place twice daily [9am and 1pm] at the main beach, just over the “groyne” rock wall.
  • Coffee and Cake, go on treat yourself at one of Noosa’s many cafes….our current favourite is Cafe Esco on Gympie Terrace opposite the Big Pelican.
  • Head out for a long lunch; come see us in Reception for dining suggestions.
  • Grab an umbrella from your room and go for a walk. Noosa is beautiful, even in the rain!
